The semi-trailer brake type generally adopts dual-line pneumatic brakes and requires the functions of service braking, parking brake, and emergency braking. In order to ensure the safety of the vehicle, drivers should pay attention to the following points:
1. Check whether the main and trailer air pressure pipelines are connected before exiting the vehicle and whether there is any air leakage or not, and eliminate the sewage in the air reservoir.
2. Use brakes correctly during driving and avoid emergency braking. When turning or encountering obstacles, pedestrians, etc. need to brake, they must decelerate early and drive slowly.
3. Strictly control or minimize the use of horns, otherwise the air pressure will drop too quickly due to the use of too many horns, and braking performance cannot be guaranteed.
4. During maintenance, the clearances between the main brakes of the trailer and the trailer and the brake hub should be adjusted to ensure that the left and right main wheels are consistent.
5. The trailer and the trailer should do synchronous braking tests before the transportation. The trailer braking should be slightly earlier than the braking of the main vehicle. Generally it can be 0.2~0.5 seconds in advance. The main and trailer can also be braked at the same time but not later than the main Cars, so as to avoid the trailer colliding with the car.
6. Observe that the reading of the barometer of the main vehicle should be kept above 5.5 kg/cm2. Otherwise, it should not be continued.
