Huadian Opens Two Million-Watt Supercritical Generator Units

Huadian Group's two million-kilowatt ultra-supercritical coal-fired generating units started construction in Jurong, Jiangsu today. This is the first million-kilowatt energy project of Huadian Group in Jiangsu.

It is understood that the coal consumption for the power supply of these two generator sets is currently the lowest in China. The power consumption of coal for the project design is lower than 280 g/kWh, and the two units can save about 90,000 tons of standard coal throughout the year. This project is selected as a nationalization demonstration project selected by the National Energy Administration. As a localization demonstration project for key valves of ultra-supercritical thermal power units, the unit has changed the history of high-end valve procurement and long-term dependence on imports, and can reduce the cost yuan.
