On November 1, 2011, in order to ensure the implementation and effect of FAW Jiefang JL01 new production preparation project, FAW Group held the JL01 project production preparation initiation judgment meeting in the third conference room of No. 2 Building of the Liberation Company, and 11 functions including FAW Development Department. departments and liberation of the company, 14 points, a subsidiary of the project responsible person attended the meeting. 
Due to the rapid growth of the target total volume of the light truck market and the huge market capacity during the 12th Five-Year Plan period, the FAW Group Development Planning Committee approved the production of its own brand light vehicle by FAW Jiefang in June 2010. The Group's party and government joint meeting approved the " liberation of Qingdao Automobile Factory JL01 pilot project."
It is understood that the FAW Jiefang JL01 project consists of a total of ten basic models of four product platforms, which will be placed at the FAW Jiefang Company Qingdao Automobile Factory to replace the existing light vehicle products of the FAW Jiefangqing Steam Plant. JL01 is expected to conduct trial production in early 2013. By the end of the 12th Five-Year Plan, sales volume was 86,000 units.
At the meeting, each unit explained in detail the production capacity, investment status, development progress, quality objectives, and preparation work for the SE phase of the JL01 project, and agreed that the production preparation of the JL01 project started. FAW Group issued a production preparation start instruction at the meeting, and emphasized the important position of JL01 project in FAW's self-contained front.
The meeting requested all units to strengthen project management work and build a fully-optimized production preparation system, making JL01 the most competitive high-end model in the domestic market, and accelerating the product structure and layout adjustment through the introduction of the JL01 project to achieve the liberation of FAW in China. The balanced development of the market will enhance FAW's ability to liberate the comprehensive system of heavy-duty light trucks.
